Jo McKinnell – Chair
Jo has worked as a primary school teacher and a youth worker, and now serves as the pastor of Papakura Wesleyan Church and the manager of the Redhill Community Centre. Her wide range of interests are reflected in her qualifications, from a BA and a BEd to qualifications in theology.
Alan is the principal of Bairds Mainfreight Primary School, and brings to the trust many years of experience in the education sector. His qualifications include a MEd and BTch & Learning. He has been part of Papakura Wesleyan Church since it began more than 10 years ago.
Allan has been a maths teacher, Methodist minister and Wesleyan pastor. Retirement has added community support, charity building projects and financial management of a large dairy farm. Allan had nine years on a school BOT and 22 years as a trustee of the Papatoetoe Adolescent Christian Trust.
Rob has a MA (History) from Auckland University and has been a secondary school teacher and a National Library Schools Adviser. He is currently a lay preacher. He enjoys gardening, tramping, bike rides, researching local history, and visiting his family in Australia.
Ruth was an occupational therapist before following a call to ministry in 1988. She was pastor of Papakura Wesleyan Church from 2006-2014. Now retired, Ruth volunteers for Papakura Wesleyan Church and Papakura Community Trust. She still regularly preaches at a church at Kawakawa Bay.

Jo has worked as a primary school teacher and a youth worker, and now serves as the pastor of Papakura Wesleyan Church and the manager of the Redhill Community Centre. She loves to travel, catch up with friends over a coffee, or simply to find a spot in the sun with a good book.
Ashan Rodrigo – Community & Youth Worker
Ashan was born in Australia but grew up in Sri Lanka. He studied music at Indiana Wesleyan University in the USA. He has led youth groups and worked with youth camps in Sri Lanka, USA and Australia. He plays the guitar and is always up for a jam but also loves to read, cook, travel, play sports and hike.
Rose McGuinn – Counsellor
Rose has worked as a NZAC registered counsellor in South Auckland for over 20 years. As a wife, mother and grandparent she has much experience to draw on, and has a broad knowledge of local needs and resources. She is committed to helping people on their journey to healthy, happy lives.
Tina Hernandez – Funding Coordinator
Tina is an occupational therapist and completes funding applications for Papakura Community Trust. Her husband and three children take up most of her time outside of work. Otherwise she may be found hiking/running on trails, reading, swimming, and catching up with friends.
Linda Grigg – Office Administrator
Linda has worked in the not-for-profit sector since 1999, mainly in clerical administration, customer services, fundraising and communications roles. When she is not at work she enjoys reading, movies, sightseeing and playing family history detective.
